Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, was released for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of the artist's high-profile recordings. Her inspirations include famous writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her affinity with Bjork's style. After her mom told her that her songs would not just help her achieve fame however, they could also help others understand their importance within the global community and see what can be done with her songs and her music, she was inspired to start singing in public. She was suggested by her mother to sing her songs in public in order to make people aware of their own importance and how they can affect the world. They didn't even know until the age of 14. Aurora has never imagined being famous. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. She believes music can make anyone feel better.
